3. If you find the activity of mowing your lawn as something therapeutic, try not to be overeager about it. There is no need to cut your grass each week, just leave your lawn until it begins to look unkempt and then mow it. Give you grass time to grow and it surely will grow healthy.

4. Do not dispose of the grass cuttings. While it may seem that it helps in keeping your lawn looking neat and tidy, you should keep it on top of your grass. Once the cut grass breaks down, it will work as a mulch or a fertilizer for your lawn.

5. Lastly, always try to keep your mowing pattern as varied as is possible everytime you mow your lawn. It keeps the growth of your grass straight. Not all gardeners agree on this though.
